Also, I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

Isaiah 6:8 KJV

Dear Lord and Savior,

Did the Father ask you this same question the prophet Isaiah heard? 

Did you answer the same way Isaiah did? 

Did you know you would shed your immortal glory to put on the mortal flesh of a babe? 

Did you know what your life on earth would hold from the unremarkable beginning to the victorious end? 

You did! 

You knew what it would cost to buy back the souls of this world. 

Your sacrifice on the cross was the price to pay to bring the light of salvation into the darkness of corruption.

What will I pay to share the Good News of salvation? My time? My skills? My words?

 When the time comes and I hear you ask, “Who will we send and who will go for us?”,

I pray for the courage and strength to say,

“Here I am, Lord. Send me.”
