Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:6 NIV

Do you like those shows where a construction crew will do a major renovation on a rundown house? Week after week, the neglected house transforms into an attractive home. That decaying house represents my old life. The second I said yes to Jesus, the Lead Contractor, a renovation project started in my heart.

The above verse tells me three things:

  1. Be soundly assured. God is working to change me for his purposes.
  2. Have no doubt. He sees me as valuable, and I am a good work in progress.
  3. Be confident. What Jesus started in me will be finished.

If you don’t know him and are ready for a renovation in your life, this verse is for you. Say yes to Jesus. He paid with his life to change your life forever. And you are well worth the price.

How has Jesus transformed you? Share your thoughts and comments. Thank you for reading this message.

  1. Jackie… This an excellent word and great reminder that the One who began the good work in us is faithful to complete what He has started…
