The New You
August 24, 2023

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life was gone; a new life has begun!”

2 Corinthians 5:17 New Living Translation

The jar labels say, “Mango, Pineapple Spears.” Suppose these jars were filled with grapes and cherries instead. What’s on the label wouldn’t match what is in the jar.

When we accept Christ, we become a new person spiritually with a new life. Some people will want to use the label for the old you because it’s hard to accept the new you. It takes time for labels to come off. To change hearts and minds.

Be encouraged. Keep walking with Christ. One day our new lives will be so undeniable that people can’t help but see the change. It will be as clear as glass that Jesus lives in our hearts.

What fruit would fill one of these jars to represent the new you in Christ?

My fruit would be nectarine. Because it has a thin skin and is easily bruise but if you take care the fruit inside is so sweet and juicy. I am going through a time of transformation. It has cause me to be emotionally tender and easily bruised. God is growing me into the woman He wants me to be and to have the relationship with my husband as God is the head of our marriage. So looking forward to the sweet times ahead.

That’s a lovely way to describe your season of transformation. Because you are trusting God to work in your life, I know there will a change. What He has started, He will complete. Sweet times, indeed!
