All in This Day
May 9, 2025

Lord,

Thank You for opening my eyes to a new day. Prepare me for its ups and downs.

Impress upon me an act of compassion when needed and not fill the air with empty sympathies.

Guide me to stay on task to complete what I can on my To Do list and not fret over what I couldn’t get done at the day’s end.

Let Your peace reign in my heart.

Check me before my lips recklessly sling sharp words at someone. Instead, make my words like a soothing salve to heal wounds.

With Your words echoing in my mind, I will walk out today with a light on my path and You beside me.

Whatever may come or happen, this is a day You have made.

I am grateful and thankful to be alive in it.

Amen
