Small but Mighty
June 29, 2025

Ladybugs…a small creature (2-10 mm) created for a mighty purpose. These colorful (and cute) beetles perform a crucial role in controlling pests that destroy our gardens. How does that apply to you and me?

The world has infinite ways to tell us that we are insignificant, unimportant, small. Sometimes we believe the tale. In the Old Testament, a young man named Jeremiah believed his youth prevented him to speak for the Almighty until God laid out his reasons for appointing him a prophet to nations and kingdoms. God had a plan and a purpose for his life before Jeremiah’s conception or birth.

Like ladybugs and Jeremiah, we have an important role to perform in our areas of influence—our families, neighborhoods and communities, our churches or workplaces. With the Creator of the Universe in our corner who knows your name and mine, we are not insignificant. We have a job to do, a good work that God started in us. And with his help, we will finish it.

…being confident of this very thing that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
